A wonderful concert “Masters Legacy” presented by the International American Ballet took place on May 13, 2023 in the Rudolf Nureyev Studio at Ballet Arts Center for Dance next to Carnegie Hall in Manhattan, New York. The renowned ballerina, Analia Farfan, was a master mind and producer of this extraordinary show, bringing together a bouquet of professional performers from the United States, Japan, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Russia, the Netherlands, and China. Analia Farfan, an American ballerina, recipient of numerous ballet awards, was born in Argentina and trained in prestigious ballet schools across different countries. She received a scholarship from Marika Besobrasova, the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco, and later studied under Galina Panova. Analia was a member of The Metropolitan Opera Ballet in New York and has performed and choreographed ballet numbers in various renowned ballet scenes worldwide. The show opened with “Esmeralda Pas De Six" with Analia Farfan and Petr Borchenko displaying grace, energy and elegance on stage. The “Harlequinade Pas De Deux" performed by Misa Mochizuki and Cooper Everson also charmed the audience with its playful and fast-paced movements, executed with impeccable precision and synchronization by the dancers. One of the most beloved and renowned pieces in the world of ballet “The White Swan Pas De Deux” from Tchaikovsky’s ballet "Swan Lake” danced by Anastasia Fedorova and Petr Borchenko left an indelible impression. The dancers conveyed the emotional depth and tenderness of the piece, eliciting admiration from the audience. The program also featured the “Odette Variation” and the “Diana and Acteon Pas De Deux” performed by Misa Mochizuki and Cooper Everson. These performances highlighted the complexity and technical mastery required by the dancers, showcasing their strength, grace, and precision in every movement. In a momentous world premiere, the ethereal ballet dancer Analia Farfan gracefully embodied the essence of the swan, while the sublime mezzo-soprano opera singer Vita Koreneva mesmerized the audience with her exquisite interpretation of the cello solo, singing the Russian lyrics of this classical masterpiece. Together, their seamless fusion of dance and voice brought the iconic”Dying Swan" movement from Camille Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals to life, leaving the audience spellbound. Ms. Koreneva's well-rounded expressive voice beautifully balanced themes of hopefulness and deep sorrow, while Analia exquisitely portrayed the emotional journey of the dying partner with poignant nuance. The performance was an extraordinary display of artistry, captivating hearts and minds alike. The brilliant repertoire featured a fiery interpretation of the "Guajira" by Tatyana Popova, showcasing her passionate artistry. Additionally, Brigid Le Minez and Dariusz Horwath dazzled the audience with their performance of the Spanish Character dance from "Swan Lake," demonstrating their exceptional skills and artistry.
